The dog days of summer are upon us, but oppressive heat and scheduled vacations have not stopped the Real American Hardwood Coalition from pushing forward with our agenda. In the last few months, we have presented our plan to industry groups across the country, including the National Wood Flooring Association, IHLA, the National Council of Forestry Association Executives, the Missouri Forest Products Association, the Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers Inc. and the Western Hardwood Association Meeting. More events are on the Fall calendar. If there is a group we should get in front of, let us know!
The list of participating companies in our promotional efforts is growing. A significant number of companies have already downloaded the RAH Logo and User guide. We hope to start featuring examples of how the logo is being used on our social media outlets…so please share photos with us at info@realamericanhardwood.org!
We have also launched a video to inspire and encourage hardwood companies to get involved and help us build a domestic marketing campaign for hardwood products. The campaign will push back on substitute look-alike products and secure our industry’s future. The pillars of our marketing campaign are highlighted…highly desired appearance, natural durability and versatility, lifetime value, healthy home benefits, and recognized sustainability. The video may be viewed on the Real American Hardwood Coalition website or on our YouTube Channel. Feel free to share this video with your peers. The more companies we get involved the more successful we will be!
Finally, we have requested proposals from website developers to create the consumer-facing Real American Hardwood site. This will be an intensive, but vital step in our efforts to maximize our impact on the domestic consumer. We will keep you posted on progress over the next few months!
